WHERE and WHAT is "The Landing on the Bouie"?
"The Landing on the Bouie" is located in Collins, MS in Covington County. It's only 30 miles from Hattiesburg, 63 miles from Jackson, 99 miles from the Mississippi Coast, and 135 miles from New Orleans. The Landing on the Bouie is 70 acres of natural wildlife and beauty with the Bouie River splitting the property. Our goal is to provide an unplugged experience for you to unwind and get back to nature so you can release the stress of every day and enjoy the nature and serenity of the Bouie River. We have "glamping sites" and "primitive sites" ready for you to rent and enjoy. So, no matter what your level of comfort is, we got you covered!!
Glamping Sites
The glamping sites feature a spacious 10x12 platform tent with a queen bed (you must provide linens and towels). Also included are a picnic table, fire pit, and two aderondack-like chairs. In the tent there is a night stand, a table with chairs (to enjoy breakfast with a view), a chest of drawers and even a TV. If you do prefer electricity, there is a generator near by that will run everything you need in the tent to stay comfortable and HAPPY! This also includes AIR CONDITIONING!!
Primitive Camping Sites
COMING SOON!! Our primitive sites feature an open area where you are able to pick a spot and pitch your tent. Included with primitive sites are a picnic table and fire pit. As the name implies, you are truly roughing it when camping here. You do have access to a bathroom and shower (you must bring your own towels)
Things to do at The Landing
Besides just sitting back and enjoying the sounds of the river streaming by, you can also fish, canoe, swim, wade, sunbathe, cookout, and so much more. The possibilities are endless! You can make your experience as luxurious or as primitive as you want! With so many towns near by, you can easily go and eat out and visit what South Mississippi has to offer. The famous restaurant "Cowboy Jims" is just a float down the river - or you can get in your car for the 10 minute drive. Enjoy!

The price for the Glamping site is $100 per night (any night of the week) or $185 for two consecutive nights.
